Cadillac XTS ready for production

Cadillac announced the official launch of a large sedan model, based on the concept XTS Platinum. The new sedan will be the top of the range of the GM car manufacturer, and will be able to compete with big names in the segment, such as Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series.

Although Cadillac din not published a teaser of the new sedan, official sources say that the series model will have the same design lines as the XTS Platinum concept, presented last year. The official launch of the new Cadillac XTS will be in Los Angeles this fall or early next year, at the Detroit Motor Show.

In a statement issued by GM shows that "the future Cadillac XTS is designed to beat the famous luxury models. We propose a modern approach of the segment, combining the latest gadgets with exceptional dynamics, in a car that wants to be elegant and spacious. "

Cadillac XTS will be produced at the Oshawa factory in Ontario, Canada, where GM invested $ 117 million and hired 400 workers for the new model.

This is the new Cadillac ATS

BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class will have a new rival. Cadillac introduced the first teaser of its future mid-range sedan, codenamed ATS. The image captures the profile of the three volume model, scheduled to be launched on the market next year.

GM will begin the production of the new Cadillac that will be produced starting next summer at the Lansing Grand River factory, that currently produces the CTS model. To prepare the future ATS into production, GM has invested 190 million dollars and employed 600 people at Cadillac factory.

A Cadillac company official said: "The product that has the codename ATS is being developed as a car centered around the driver on a specific platform architecture for the rear wheel drive or the all wheel drive . We have studied intensely the segment and the current competitors, and will develop the best product on the market. The public will be convinced of it very quickly. "
